Updated 2009 - Year 3!

Welcome to rcheliplanet.com

A Fun & Friendly RC Community!

We recognise the importance of dedicated support and the knowledge needed to fully realise the potential of any machine and RC Heli Planet is the place to come to learn more about RC Helicopters through sharing knowledge.

With 1000s of you out there who own RC Helis, this place was created where you can all come together and help each other learn without the bad attitude some other forums have. Oh, it's also a nice change from blue isn't it? Wink

Forum rules: Treat each other with respect and remember that beginners are as important to this hobby as the experienced amongst us.

History

We began in 2006 as thetrex600forum.com and quickly grew. We then changed to thetrexforums.com in order to accommodate all of the models in the Align RC range. Now our final change has come and we look to the future with great confidence as we now support all RC helis and everything to do with them Thumbs Up

The below responses are from 2006 onwards.

Lets have fun!!  Grin

Symon

Wow this place is kinda like a black hole, it's swallowed up the whole heli planet & no one's been heard from ever since!! Sad

Yeh, we get a lot of visitors but nobody's posting anymore.

Too many complaining and nobody contributing.

We'll be closing this month.

No, wasn't aimed at you, or anyone really, Les Grin

Lots of big forums online with lots of chat. This place has a lot of solid info which is why everyone is just viewing these days. The chat has gone Sad

It's dying and it's time to close.

Very proud of this place but enough is enough.

I'll announce it properly when I get time.

Now this is a real shame!  Shocked  Sad  Cry

Sorry Sy and thank you for all the effort over the years. I've enjoyed this forum for quite a while now.  Cool

Any chance you could dump the site onto a free host or something, maybe just losing the domain name? Or get one of the other bigger forums to take over the posts as a kind of archive function (as you say there is a wealth of knowledge in here)??  Huh

Now I'm going to have to find a new site to check on at lunch times...

That's bad news Sy; too bad. However "we" may contributed to this unfortunate situation.

Cheers (hopefully not the last time) - Surri

Nobody is to blame bud. I'm the one that kept the fires going but recently my interests have dropped off.

I'd keep it going but most of what gets posted is "why's it so quiet" laughing

It's not costing me much now it's on a lesser server.

I might keep it as view only so the info isn't lost. Or I might leave it for the next year! laughing
