Are there any other types of wire cover that anyone else is using?
There's the shielded split sleeve that I've got on my 600, but I have no idea where you can buy it from, (mine came from the 'scr@p bin' at work
), and it doesn't look very neat
Mark.

Hey Mark have you been dumpster diving again....
I got mine at IRCHA last year. But they sold it by the foot and it was put in a bag with no name....
I like using heat shrink on the ends to stop the fraying....

And I did a quick "
Sleeving made easy 101
"... it keeps the fraying to a minimum (if you don't use the frayless kind).
Simple tool made from a knitting needle... cheap and effective.

Good idea.
I'm on the road right now, but get home this weekend. Hopefully my sleeving has arrived and I can get it installed.

I got mine from ReadyHeli.com (the light blue 1/4" size) it made my wires kind of stiff, is this normal?
I guess I like more flexable wiring ....

Yeah, it made mine a little less plyable, but I was able to route it where it had to go without any problem.

These guys have it all. I use the clean cut, doesn't require a hot knife and no fraying at all. It is much easier to work with.

What I love, is that folks are taking the time to protect their birds and make the wiring neat.
Good show!
(now, if I could only talk you out of using those danged zip ties, and learn lacing for real... *smile*)

What do you mean? You want me to let that wire just dangle and get all up in the tail servo and stuff. Just let it hang out to the side? Lets see your wiring.

I already know how to use lacing cord
(it comes with the job), but ty-raps are so much easier for some things.
